  • (named one of the “50 Best Websites of 2012” by Time) can help students improve and enhance their vocabulary through multiple choice questions.  This can be helpful in studying for vocabulary tests or preparing for standardized tests, like the SAT.





  • Khan Academy. Okay, we just LOVE this site! You have to see these amazing instructional videos! The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with the mission of providing a world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Despite being the work of one man, Salman Khan, this 1800+ video library is the most-used educational video resource as measured by YouTube video views per day and unique users per month.


  • High School Ace Math provides links to useful sites related to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus -- including AP calculus.

  • MIT Open Courseware is an absloutely amazing site! The Massachusetts Institute of Technology places on this site some selected relevant material from their introductory courses to support students as they study and educators as they teach the AP Physics, AP Biology, and AP Calculus curriculums.


  • Free Science Info provides free online science textbooks.


  • High School Ace Science provides links to useful sites related to general Earth science, astronomy, geology, and meteorology.


  • Educational YouTube Videos is a video library of videos about physics, math, and chemistry.

  • Chemical & Engineering News:  What’s That Stuff?  is both interesting and helpful!  Through a series of articles, the writers bring science to life by examining the contents of ordinary items, like instant coffee and chewing gum.  This is perfect for help with science projects and chemistry class.  


  • Chemistry Lecture Notes is a wonderful resource for high school and college chemistry students


  • Educational YouTube Videos is a video library of videos about physics, math, and chemistry.


  • Periodic Videos is an excellent series of educational and entertaining videos from Nottingham University in which they guide you through each element of the periodic table with simple experiments.


  • The Physics Classroom is an online interactive tutorial of basic physics concepts. The lessons use an easy-to-understand language to present common physics principles discussed in a first-year high school physics course. Topics are explained and sample problems, with answers, follow.


  • Splung Physics provides help with the fundamentals of physics. This site is aimed at students studying general physics, high school physics or even university physics. It is illustrated using Flash demonstrations and experiments.
